Everything You Need to Know about the Seasons and Tides

Zanzibar Island

Zanzibar is a charming, tropical Indian Ocean archipelago known for Arabian nights and laziness. Zanzibar is one of the best beach destinations in East Africa, and it’s just a 15-minute flight from the mainland. It’s surrounded by coral reefs and has idyllic beaches with large palm trees. The beaches of Zanzibar are worth a visit, whether as a relaxing after-safari destination or as a stand-alone destination.

The beaches of Zanzibar are known as paradise. At dawn, delicate white beaches, sparkling turquoise seas, and typical Arabian dhows flood against a pastel-colored sky. Also blowing in the breeze are the leaves of coconut palms.

Zanzibar, off the coast of Tanzania, has sandy white sand beaches lined with palm trees and surrounded by coral reefs, making it the ideal place to end a safari.

There are a plethora of beach resorts (almost too many to count) that cater to a wide range of budgets. Regardless of where you stay, you’ll always wish you could extend your stay.

You’ll wish you had more time if you don’t spend at least three nights on the sand, unless you already live in a city with gorgeous beaches.

These days, Zanzibar receives a large number of tourists. Check out Pemba, Mafia, Rubondo Island, Pangani, Kilwa Kisiwani, and Bagamoyo if you’re looking for a fun spot to rest but want to escape the crowds.

Location: Zanzibar is located off the coast of Tanzania and is a 2-hour ferry ride from Dar es Salaam. You can also travel into Zanzibar from the Northern Parks, Arusha, Dar es Salaam, or the Southern Parks.

Scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, swimming with dolphins, local village visits, game fishing, windsurfing, boat tours, and sailing are only a few of the activities available.

Time: If necessary, spend at least three nights on the beach.
